Thank you so much for your kind donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

We’re facing a huge demand for our services due to COVID-19 and now more than ever, your support is hugely appreciated.

Your support will also bring us closer to our goal of beating cystic fibrosis for good. Through investing in cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care, offering support for everyone affected by CF and by campaigning hard and shouting loud about the issues that matter, your support will help us get there.

£150 could support an individual or family in urgent need with a grant for food and other basic daily essentials.

Louise’s husband is self-employed and has lost his income due to COVID-19, as the whole family are isolating for the safety of their daughter Gemma, who has cystic fibrosis. In their current situation, Louise has to wait five weeks for Government support to come through, which leaves the family without income for food and basic essentials. We provided Louise and her family with a grant to help with these costs, relieving some pressure and ensuring Gemma’s health could be protected.

£200 could ensure someone with CF exercises regularly and stay’s healthy, helping them pay for home exercise equipment while shielding.

James is normally a very active teenager, playing competitive sport at a high level and going to the gym regularly. However, all of this stopped due to shielding, and James was spending most of his time in his room. His family were concerned about his fitness, especially for someone who has CF, and that his mental health would suffer. We provided a grant for a home multi-gym and weights, enabling James to replicate his usual exercise at the gym, at home.

£250 could protect the health of someone with CF who is shielding, providing them with essential white goods like a fridge or a washing machine.

Richard has CF and lives with his wife, who also has a long-term medical condition, so both are shielding at home. They were struggling to get regular food deliveries and needed to buy food in bulk to ensure they didn’t need to make trips to the shops. We provided a grant to buy a freezer, enabling them to store the food they need safely.
